Clay CA is a 2,000 square foot artist-run ceramic studio located in Los Angeles’ Chinatown. The studio offers a range of workshops, equipment, a one-of-a-kind glaze chemistry room, pottery wheels, kiln space, and 24-hour studio space. CLAY CA is a community space meant to encourage creative growth and experimentation, along with investigating and understanding the structural form of clay. Given society’s hyperactive use of technology, we find that fostering a sense of community and being present are more important than ever. Our goal is to provide Los Angeles with more access to personal interactions, cognitive building skills, and ceramic knowledge. We welcome people of all backgrounds and places.
Tactile and versatile, ceramics can withstand high temperatures and transform into something unexpected at any moment. The multiplicity of the ceramic form is likely why it remains a constant presence throughout time — it has no limits and is constantly evolving into something new.

Parking
There is all day parking available off of College Street, it is 1$ per hour for the first two hours, and 8$ max for the day
Metered street parking is also available and is free after 8pm
