Service Description

Join us for an intimate summer session of sculpting in Elysian Park. All clay, tools, and materials provided. Together we will explore different forms of hand building including coil, slab, and pinch pot building. Food & Beverages are welcome. Once the clay is dry enough it is placed in the kiln for 48 hours, unloaded, glazed, and reloaded into the kiln where it will fully vitrify at 2167°F. After the kiln cools your piece is unloaded, packaged, and ready for pick up. If you do decide to make a functional piece please note that all of our glazes and clay bodies are food, microwave , and dishwasher safe. Although messy, the clay used in class will not stain your clothing. However we do recommend wearing comfortable apparel.
