Service Description

In this four week course students will learn steps and techniques to create production pottery. Through the use of measuring tools and production techniques students will learn how to create a cohesive and consistently matching body of work. Previous wheel throwing experience is highly recommended. 24 hour access to Practice outside of class time and all materials are included. Saturday May Session Dates: May 6th-27th 10:00am-12:00pm Week 1 Throw on the wheel together, review centering, pulling the walls, and throwing techniques Week 2 Review matching sets each student is looking to create, along with tools and resources that we can use to make a set. Week 3 Surface Design, alteration, addition - students will learn how to alter their designs along with alternative tools used for production such as slab molds. Week 4 Glazing 101 - Students will glaze all of the pieces they made this month. Along with a quick review on the importance of glaze application.
