ABOUT BRRCH FLORAL: Brittany Asch has been working with flowers since 2011 and started her company BRRCH in 2013. She has created the floral identity for brands such as Glossier, and collaborated with brands such as Sandy Liang, Collina Strada, and Fenty to name a few. BRRCH has created a new wave for floristry in fashion and design. She has worked in editorial, installation, set design, event and interior spaces both large and small scale amassing a wide range of clients and collaborators. She is known for her unique approach and eye with flowers and the forms and palettes they can take on. ABOUT THE CLASS SESSION: In this class, Brittany will do a demonstration on how she approaches the vase and materials in relation to the current season and explain her personal philosophies when it comes to arranging flowers. This class, like a meditation, will focus on free form exploration with the materials. Students will be asked to re-examine the way flowers can be arranged and supported in their process of discovery. Along with being encouraged to break away from the rules and begin to develop their own. All experience levels welcome. Participants will leave with knowledge of how to craft a floral arrangement, a custom limited edition vase in collaboration with the Clay studio team and welcomed to choose their own glaze, making each piece one of a kind. All materials needed for this course will be provided by the instructor.
