Service Description

In this four week wheel throwing course students will learn steps and techniques to create production pottery. Through the use of measuring tools, trimming, and production techniques students will learn how to create a cohesive and consistently matching body of work. Previous wheel throwing experience is highly recommended. This class is taught by Leonard Rusch who has been throwing on the wheel for over 40 years. 24 hour access to Practice outside of class time and all materials are included. Friday December Session Dates: December 1st-December24th 6-8pm **Due to the holidays we will be granting all students an extra week of access to the studio. Week 1 Throw on the wheel together, review centering, pulling the walls, and throwing techniques Week 2 Review matching sets each student is looking to create, along with tools and resources that we can use to make a set. Week 3 & 4 Surface Design, alteration, addition - students will learn how to alter their designs along with alternative tools used for production such as molds. And glaze testing.
